Description

A creamy, flavorful Cajun chicken pasta made effortlessly in the slow cooker. Perfect for busy weeknights or cozy weekends, this one-pot meal delivers tender chicken, al dente pasta, and a rich, cheesy sauce infused with Cajun spices.

For the Chicken & Sauce:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1 cup chicken broth

  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • ½ tsp smoked paprika

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

For the Pasta:

  • 8 oz penne or fettuccine pasta

  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

  • ½ cup cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup frozen peas or bell peppers (optional)

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

  • Season chicken with Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.

  • Optional: Sear chicken in olive oil for 2-3 minutes per side to lock in flavor.

  • Place chicken in Crock Pot, pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, cook on low 4-6 hours or high 2-3 hours.

  • Remove chicken, shred it, and return to Crock Pot.

  • Add uncooked pasta, cream cheese, and half of Parmesan cheese. Stir well and cook on low 20-25 minutes until pasta is al dente.

 

  • Stir in frozen vegetables if using. Garnish with remaining Parmesan and fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust Cajun seasoning or add cayenne for more heat.

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.

  • Cooking pasta separately can prevent overcooking.

  • Use full-fat cream and cream cheese for richest texture.
