Description

This Banana Bread Recipe is incredibly moist, rich, and bursting with sweet banana flavor. With simple ingredients and just one bowl, you’ll create a comforting homemade loaf that’s perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert. Bakes beautifully with a tender crumb and soft texture — the best way to use overripe bananas!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas (mashed)

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a loaf pan.

  • In a bowl, mash bananas and mix with melted butter.

  • Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.

  • Add flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix gently until just combined — do not overmix.

  • Fold in walnuts or chocolate chips if using.

  • Pour into loaf pan and smooth top.

  • Bake 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

  • Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

  • Slice and enjoy!

Notes

  • Overripe bananas give the best flavor and sweetness.

  • For extra moist bread, don’t overmix the batter.

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
